Job Purpose:
The Flight Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of aircraft, flight operations, and related systems to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and reliability of flight operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections of aircraft, flight instruments, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate maintenance records, flight logs, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct in-flight inspections and tests to assess aircraft performance and safety.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, pilots, and regulatory authorities to address safety concerns.
- Stay updated on changes in aviation regulations and best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and investigations as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid pilot’s license or relevant aviation certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft inspection, maintenance, or flight operations.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in aircraft inspection or safety (e.g., Certified Flight Instructor, Airframe and Powerplant License).
- Experience with a variety of aircraft types and avionics systems.
- Previous experience working with regulatory agencies.
- Proficiency in aviation inspection software and reporting tools.
