Flight instructor

Job Purpose: The Flight Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality flight and ground instruction to student pilots, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to operate aircraft safely and in accordance with aviation regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct flight training sessions in accordance with approved syllabi and regulatory standards.

• Provide ground instruction covering aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, and aviation regulations.

• Prepare lesson plans and training materials tailored to individual student needs.

• Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate training records.

• Ensure the safety of all training operations and report any incidents or maintenance issues.

• Stay current with changes in aviation regulations and instructional techniques.

• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with appropriate flight instructor rating (e.g., CFI, FI(A)).

• Minimum required flight hours as specified by local aviation authority.

• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience instructing in multiple aircraft types (single-engine, multi-engine, etc.).

• Additional instructor ratings (e.g., instrument, multi-engine).

• Previous experience in a flight training organization or flight school.

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field.
