Job Purpose: The Flight Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality flight and ground instruction to student pilots, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to operate aircraft safely and in accordance with aviation regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct flight training sessions in accordance with approved syllabi and regulatory standards.
Provide ground instruction covering aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, and aviation regulations.
Prepare lesson plans and training materials tailored to individual student needs.
Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate training records.
Ensure the safety of all training operations and report any incidents or maintenance issues.
Stay current with changes in aviation regulations and instructional techniques.
Participate in safety meetings and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with appropriate flight instructor rating (e.g., CFI, FI(A)).
Minimum required flight hours as specified by local aviation authority.
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience instructing in multiple aircraft types (single-engine, multi-engine, etc.).
Additional instructor ratings (e.g., instrument, multi-engine).
Previous experience in a flight training organization or flight school.
Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field.
