Job Purpose

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor tasks including digging, loading, carrying, and cleaning construction sites.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist skilled workers such as carpenters, masons, and electricians by preparing materials and securing the worksite.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Load and unload construction materials and equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Participate in site clean-up and waste disposal activities.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as a construction laborer or relevant manual labor experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and use of protective equipment.
• Valid work eligibility and compliance with local labor laws.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in construction safety or OSHA training.
• Experience with specific construction trades (e.g., carpentry, masonry).
• Ability to operate heavy machinery like forklifts or loaders.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
